Harvest 2025 is a wrap, and the daylight hours are officially shortened. The quieter rhythm in and around the communities of Yamhill County might give you Hallmark movie vibes if you let your days slow down a bit. Look around for the craft fairs, early holiday markets, and do some wine tasting in the off season - it is sooooo charming. As the small towns start to light up for the holidays, shop local in downtown Newberg or on McMinnville's Third Street.
Here’s are a few things happening across our area this month.
Portland Metro— Early-Holiday Market Kickoff
📍 Portland Expo Center | November 14–16, 2025.

The Portland Holiday Market brings more than 150 local makers and artisans under one roof for a full weekend of shopping, food, and festive décor. It’s one of the region’s biggest seasonal gatherings and a cheerful way to start the holidays early. Expect handmade gifts, gourmet treats, and the scent of evergreens filling the Expo Center.
Good to know: Tickets are available online or at the door. Parking fills quickly, so consider using TriMet’s Yellow Line for an easy trip.

Willamette Valley— Wine-Country Weekend Events
📍 Newberg & throughout the Willamette Valley | November 15 – 30, 2025

¡Salud! Grand Dinner & Live Auction — November 15, 2025 at The Allison Inn & Spa, Newberg
Wine Country Thanksgiving — November 21–23 & November 28–30 across the Willamette Valley
November in the valley is all about celebrating craftsmanship and community. The ¡Salud! Gala pairs Oregon’s top wines with a dinner auction that supports vineyard workers’

healthcare, while Wine Country Thanksgiving spreads across two weekends, with open houses and special tastings from Dundee to Dayton.
Good to know: These events often sell out early — reserve ahead and plan for cool, misty afternoons that make the valley glow.
Yamhill County Pick— Small-Town Traditions & Local Art
📍 Newberg, OR | November 22–23, 2025

Art in the ’Berg Marketplace — November 22–23, at 306 N Main St., Newberg
This two-day community art sale brings local painters, photographers, potters, and jewelers together under one roof. It’s a great stop for unique holiday gifts and a chance to meet Yamhill County’s creative side up close.
Good to know: Parking is limited downtown — arrive early to browse before lunch at one of Newberg’s nearby cafés.
Extended Valley Event— Wine Country Thanksgiving (Weekend 2)
📍 Willamette Valley Wineries | November 28–30, 2025
If you missed the first weekend, Thanksgiving Weekend is your second chance. Wineries across the valley open their doors for barrel tastings, library wines, and cozy fireside pours. It’s Oregon’s most beloved wine weekend — part tradition, part reunion, and entirely Oregon.
Good to know: Check individual winery hours; many require reservations or have limited walk-in capacity.

Mountainside Market Holiday Market
📍 Hoffman Farms | November 28–30, December 5-6, December 12-13
Mountainside Market has consistently offered incredible vendors and wonderfully curated goods, all at Hoffman Farms on Scholls Ferry Road in Beaverton.
