The Best Tree Farms in Beaverton & the Surrounding Communities

There is something really magical about visiting a tree farm, right? And even better when there are other activities like hot cocoa, wreath-making, photos with Santa, a live nativity, or a makers market where you can slowly peruse locally made gifts. Our area has some really charming farms, so I've selected a few to highlight here. I would love to hear if you have a favorite that I've missed!

One of the things I love about the pacific northwest, and particularly about living on the edge of the Willamette Valley, is how close we are to farmland. We're just on the edge of wide open spaces dotted with generational family farming operations and from fall through the holidays (often even year-round), these farms open their doors to us city folk. We don our Hunter rain boots, scarves, & beanies and we go out to experience the warmth and charm of a real life, working farm.

Here are a few of my favorites.

FROG POND - WILSONVILLE

Frog Pond opens November 21st and they have holiday activities planned December 21st (seasonal hours can vary, so check their website). You can grab a tree, see the animals, and wander through the farm store for holiday goodies. It’s the kind of spot where you will end up spending a bit more time than you planned because it's just good to be there.

LEE FARMS - TUALATIN

21975 SW 65th Ave, Tualatin, OR 97062

If you’ve lived here a while, you already know Lee Farms is practically a holiday landmark. They’ve been part of local families’ traditions for decades. They offer U-Cut and pre-cut trees, wreaths, gifts, and a bakery with donuts that merit a special trip out just for them.

HOFFMAN FARMS STORE - BEAVERTON

Hoffman Farms Store is an easy Thanksgiving-weekend stop, and their holiday hours begin November 28, 2025. Mountainside Market partners year-round with Hoffman farms, and Christmastime is no exception. Beginning the Saturday after Thanksgiving they will host their holiday market for 3 consecutive weekends. Come for your tree and leave with greens, goodies, and gifts for you loved ones.

TREE FARM - HILLSBORO

12814 NW Bishop Rd, Hillsboro, OR 97124

Helvetia Tree Farm feels like a little retreat tucked into the hills. You wander through the trees while the fire crackles nearby, and on select weekends, Santa appears, and their farm store always has something charming you didn’t know you needed.

PLUMPER PUMPKIN PATCH & TREE FARM- PORTLAND

Plumper Pumpkin isn't just a fall farm. They have a really great set-up for welcoming visitors. If you’ve got little ones, it’s an easy yes. Trees, animals, tractor rides, hot drinks, everything you need for a memory-making this holiday season. They open around Thanksgiving and run Fridays through Sundays.

Why These Places Matter

The holidays can get busy; lists, errands, expectations, activities. But visiting these farms slows things down in the best way. More than that, you’re supporting local families and their businesses. Big box stores have all the Black Friday deals, but these sweet, family-oriented farms remind us that some of the best opportunities for peace and reconnection can happen when we step outside of the commercial madness and into our communities; this is their home, and they invite us in. That is pretty wonderful, and it's perhaps a little bit closer to the real meaning of this season we are entering into.

A Little About Me

Principal Broker, Amy McCormick
Principal Broker, Amy McCormick

If we haven’t met, I’m Amy, a lifelong Oregonian and Principal Real Estate Broker who still feels grateful every day to live and work in this beautiful place. My entire career has been in the real estate industry - almost twenty years now - and I still get starry-eyed when I drive out to the country for a listing appointment. Oregon is so incredibly bountiful.

I live in Beaverton, and started Bella Casa Real Estate group with my parents, Randy and Joni McCreith in 2007. We're proud of our local business, ranking as the number one real estate brokerage in Yamhill County in both units sold and total volume sold. We serve home sellers and buyers from the countryside to the city, and I love to wander these farms and cheer local makers right alongside you. Local businesses are the heartbeat of a thriving community, so thank you so much for supporting ours.

When it comes to real estate, my job is to bring you clarity, steady guidance, and a clear plan whether you’re thinking about selling or buying a home now or just gathering information for future plans.

If you ever want to talk about your home’s value, your neighborhood trends, or even which farm has the best donuts (important research), I’m always here. Call, email, or text anytime.
